IRIS Focus Download instructions All necessary installation packages for IRIS Focus are hosted by Vaisala at Vaisala Sigmet FTP server (ftp://ftp.sigmet.com). To install IRIS Focus, you need to download the following packages: * IRIS Focus application installer * Map data packages * CentOS installation image You can skip the CentOS installation image if you already have an appropriately configured CentOS installed. Note that in any case, you will need a CentOS 7.1 or later ISO image mounted on your system when installing IRIS Focus. As the installation files are very large, you should use a download tool such as CrossFTP (http://www.crossftp.com/download.htm) that allows resuming downloads to fetch the packages. The files are hosted on a server that allows read access for anonymous FTP connections. To download the files: * Connect to ftp.sigmet.com using an FTP client * Navigate to /outgoing/releases/IRIS/Focus/2.0 * Download the following files: * IRIS Focus web application package: Vaisala_IRIS_installer-2.0.tar * Maps directory: vaisala-iris-maps-v1.zip * Terrain data directory: vaisala-iris-terrain-v1.zip After downloading the files, unpack them to a directory of your choice. Note that even when zipped, these files occupy around 40GB of disk space. If you require the Centos installation image you can download it from this location: ftp://ftp.sigmet.com/outgoing/releases/CentOS/7.1/CentOS-7-x86_64-Everything-1503-01.iso Verifying MD5 hashes Each file has an associated md5sum file located in the same download directory. After downloading the file(s), verify their integrity by checking each file's MD5 hash against the one provided at the FTP site by doing the following: CentOS - Use the standard Linux md5sum command line tool that is pre-installed in CentOS: > md5sum [filename] Microsoft Windows – Use the CertUtil Windows utility that is pre-installed in all Microsoft Windows operating systems from Windows Vista onwards: > certutil -hashfile [filename] MD5 The hashes should match completely with the reference hashes at the download source. If you see any discrepancies, the downloaded file is likely corrupted. In those situations, download the mismatching file again.
